The dialogue session is a time-slot specially allocated for delegates to interact with eminent scientists. Placed in a more casual setting as compared to the masterclass, delegates can look forward to having an enjoyable and interesting conversation with the scientists to discover more about their lives and their passion for Science.

At the ISYF Grand Ceremony, Nobel Laureates and eminent scientists share their views on issues centered around the theme and subtheme of the forum, as well as address questions posed by the audience. The panel discussion and question-and-answer session will be facilitated by a panel moderator.  Delegates can look forward to learning more through these Nobel Laureates’ and eminent scientists’ sharing of their insights. This is followed by a Poster Exhibition where ISYF student delegates can showcase some of their scientific research.

Conducted by eminent scientists, delegates will gain a deeper understanding of what their research entails and how their discoveries can be practically applied. The Masterclass will begin with an introduction to basic concepts involved in their research work, helping delegates to understand and participate more actively during the session. Interact with these eminent scientists and learn more about their field of study!

The Team Project Challenge will be held for a second run at ISYF 2020. Over the 5 days of ISYF, participants will work in their respective teams to plan, prototype and showcase a mystery product, based on this year’s challenge theme. Together, young budding scientists/engineers from all around the world will be given the opportunity to showcase their creativity and scientific knowledge, tinkering with simple, everyday objects to create something truly unique.

ISYF 2020 will introduce the inaugural Research Sharing, bringing together many talented scientific minds to showcase their research work to like-minded peers who come from all over the world. This activity provides a platform for presenters to gather constructive feedback and engage in meaningful discussions with fellow participants.

Being the cultural highlight of ISYF, the Cultural Exhibition gives delegates the opportunity to present a microcosm of their homelands, showcasing the unique history, culture and customs. The event also encourages youths to view the world through a global lens. Delegates and the Hwa Chong community will be able to visit the booths to gain fascinating insights into the traditions of other delegations - through verbal sharing, photographs, snacks and even games. Let's celebrate multiculturalism and traverse the global village!
